Xerocambos

The village of Xerocambos is completely isolated with only one winding road leading through the tall, rugged mountains of the east coast. Xerocambos’ main attraction is its isolation from the rest of the world (especially when you know that tourists in nearby Vai lie side to side on its crowded beach) and a multitude of tiny coves lined with golden sand along the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean. The wonderful beaches, the healthy climate and the presence of important archeological sites in the area attract many (foreign) visitors. A few interesting sites of the Hellenic period can be found on the hills of Antisternia and Farmakokefalo. The village itself is small, with a few apartments for rent, a couple of taverns and several homes. During the winter months this village is completely deserted.
