Pacheia Ammos
The pretty village of Pacheia Ammos (21 km from Aghios Nikolaos) is nestled at the Mirabello bay with a small beach that is unfortunately, despite several attempts of the locals, not very clean. It is situated on the narrowest point of the island and a variety of taverns, pensions and souvenir shops are located in Pacheia Ammos. Many of these establishments are situated on the breezy waterfront and attract, beside the tourists, many locals from nearby Ierapetra who try to escape the heat in their town.
