Koutsouras
A charming, quiet little village that has managed to preserve much of its traditional way of live. All the ingredients are present for a relaxing and carefree holiday; lovely souvenir shops, cozy little restaurants, lovely apartments and a little to the east (at Makrigialos) you will find a beautiful sandy beach and shallow, clean waters which is ideal for families with children. West of Koutsouras lies the Dasaki Valley which is also known as the “butterfly valley”; an impressive and beautiful nature reserve ideal for undertaking some hiking trips. Koutsaras is also a good starting point for trips and excursions to the eastern part of Crete.
